Los Angeles based Anna Beck Designs is a contemporary jewelry collection that uses one of the oldest jewelry making techniques in the exotic Far East. Timeless necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings and cuffs are handcrafted on the island of Bali. And while the primary elements in the designs are elegant gold and silver, earthy semi-precious stones like Jasper and Onyx do make rare appearances.

Each piece in the collection is layered with tiny gold or silver disks, with each disk of precious metal individually cut and affixed to the metal base. “It’s a traditional art form. The first time I saw it, I fell in love.” explains owner and designer Rebecca Hosmer.

The unusual technique gives Hosmer’s classic styles added interest and excitement, and has attracted many fans including celebrity fashion icons Jessica Alba, Kirsten Dunst, Nicole Richie, Kate Bosworth, Mary J. Blige and Hilary Duff.

Anna Beck jewelry is sold at elite boutiques nationwide such as Fred Segal in Los Angeles, Scoop in New York and Yeager Jewelers in Cleveland. Individual pieces retail from $88 to $500.
